Ivysaur, Venusaur, and other pocket monsters have also inspired cosplays with dresses. A popular YouTuber and cosplay star Mink The Satyr posted several images of her Trubbish costume, which featured flowing sleeves as well as full skirts, and delicate lace. The result is a perfect reflection of the fashion-forward style of her outfit — a fairly ironic result because Trubbish is the fifth generation Pokemon which is the result of a fusion of garbage bags, industrial waste, and chemical agents.

The Pokemon franchise isn’t limited to including video games and impressive instances of fan-made content such as cosplay. The multimedia juggernaut also features a variety of manga series, tie-in films, the game that is officially licensed for trading cards, and anime of course. Pokemon Ultimate Journeys: The Seriesserved as the final song for the long-running character Ash Ketchum and his faithful Pikachu as well as the most recent show Pokemon Horizons premiered on April 14, and features new main characters Liko and her companion, Sprigatito.

Moreover, a very different type of Pokemon anime is expected to hit Netflix sometime shortly. The stop-motion animated Pokemon concierge will not be focusing on a trainer and will instead focus on Haru an employee at the resort. She will be interacting with customers and their pocket monsters while navigating the challenges of providing customer service.
Pokemon Ultimate Journeys: The series is currently available to stream on Netflix and several games in the franchise can be played exclusively on the Nintendo Switch.
