A dedicated Jojo fan has created the well-known “Approaching Me” meme in an image in which they play Jotaro and Dio Brando.
A fan of the wildly popular franchise JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure has recreated the “Approaching Me” meme, cosplaying Jotarokujo and Dio Brando.

Seanpai Senpai, a cosplayer with the handle @seanpaisen on Twitter, posted this image. Seanpai Senpai, who also uses the handle @seanpaisen tweeted that the picture was one of their top picks and the fact that JoJo is a major source of inspiration for their fitness goals. In this image, the meme has been meticulously recreated, not only through cosplay but also through the use of colored lighting that replicates the yellow color palette of the original manga panel from which the meme was created.

Based upon Hirohiko Araki’s manga of identical title, JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure has led to the creation of numerous popular memes. In addition to the “Oh I’m approaching you?” meme, two others include the “Araki forgot!” Fans came up with the “Araki forgot!” meme in response to the many plot holes in the show. Another meme is “Yare Yare Daze” the phrase that is frequently used by Jotaro which roughly translates to “good grieving” (English). As of December 2021, JoJomanga’s JoJomanga has over 120 million copies available, but the franchise’s prominences in meme culture is another important indication of its popularity.
JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure was serialized for the first time in Weekly Shonen Jumpin 1997. The story beginning is in 19th Century England with the character Jonathan Joestar, a young aristocrat who finds himself in a battle with Dio Brando, a low-born but ambitious young man who is taken in by his father’s son when Dio’s family member dies. Dio Brando finds an ancient stone Aztec mask that has incredible supernatural powers in the belongings of the Joestar Family. Dio Brando, motivated by his desire to become the most powerful individual on earth utilizes the Aztec mask’s power to increase his power. The battle to defeat Dio continues for several generations of the Joestar family. Jotaro Kujo the Joestar descendant featured in the character, and is the hero of the third arc. It’s called Stardust Crusaders.

The initial season of JoJoanime debuted almost 10 years ago in October 2012. Since then, the anime has continued for four more television seasons. Season 5, entitled Stone Ocean, was released in December last year. The first 12 episodes are available. Netflix will also release the second season of the series, which is comprised of episodes 13-24 in the season. Netflix will offer the first four seasons JoJo as well as the first part of Stone Ocean.
