Stephen Amell Shares the Official Title for the Arrow/Final Flash Crossover

Arrow Star Stephen Amell reveals the title for The Flash Season 9, Episode 9 which promises a last crossover between Barry and Oliver.

Arrow star Stephen Amell has revealed the title of the upcoming ninth episode of the ninth and final season of The Flash, which promises one final crossover between Oliver Queen/Green Arrow (Amell) and Barry Allen/The Flash (Grant Gustin).

On Twitter, Amell shared a photo of the title screen of his screener for The Flash Season 9 Episode 9, which revealed that the episode is titled “It’s My Party And I’ll Die If I Want To.” This title is a reference to pop star Lesley Gore’s 1963 hit song “It’s My Party,” which debuted on her debut studio album, I’ll Cry If I Would Like.

Amell posted in a separate post what appears to be Oliver’s lines from the crossover episode. “Ok… Ok… Ok, Barry… Barry let go… BARRY LET GO!!!” The tweet is located below. “It’s my Party and I’ll Die if I want to” was written and directed by Danielle Panabaker, based on a script by Sam Chalsen & Emily Palizzi.

Flash’s Final Run Continues

At the time of writing, Flash Season 9 has been aired in six of its 13 episodes. Episode 7 “Wildest Dreams” will premiere on Wednesday 29 March. Before the show even premiered, it was revealed that Amell will reprise his role as Oliver Queen/Green Arrow even though Oliver was killed in the last season of Arrow just a few years ago. Yet, Amell’s return is symbolically given that Flash Season 9 not only marks the finale of the show however, but it also effectively wraps up the Arrowverse.

The Flashinitially premiered on The CW in 2014, spinning out of the episodes of ArrowSeason 2 in the previous year. Arrow was on for eight seasons before it ended in January 2020. The Flash has now defeated Arrow by a single season. However, the Scarlet Speedster’s only show is still working to honor its roots.

The CW airs new episodes of The Flash Season 9 on Wednesdays.
