Although the Seraphim are thought to be the best humankind type in One Piece, what do they look like? And what can they do for humanity?
This article has spoilers about the One Piece Egghead Arc. It’s available in English at Viz Media.
One Piece has recently provided the answer to one of the longest-running mysteries surrounding Dr. Vegapunk. The renowned genius behind the Marines’ technologically-advanced weaponry is quite infamous in the series, largely because his inventions enable the Marines to maintain their foothold against many powerful criminal forces. Vegapunk is still working on perfecting his craft and creating powerful weaponry. He also researches the past and how the world works. To assist him in reaching the goals He designed six satellites. However, his most significant and most potent invention isn’t them. It’s the Seraphim.

Recently just recently, the Seraphim made their debut in the show. They represent humanity’s evolution and are the most deadly killing machines that the World Government has available to them. They can outsmart their predecessors, including the Pacifista. They are the most convincing proof of Vegapunk’s genius, in proving that the impossible is possible. This raises the issue of what the Seraphim are and what their sources are.

The World Government’s purge of the Seven Warlords saw the first appearances of the Seraphim. The Marines have brought S-Snake as well as S-Hawk over to Amazon Lily, as they attempt to capture Boa Hancock, the former Warlord Boa Hancock. The other Seraphim did not appear until the “Egghead” Arc when Cipher Pol 0 arrive at the island. S-Bear was brought by the Seraphim to kill Vegapunk and his Satellites and then putting on the appearance of a delivery. S-Shark is introduced in the course of the story. Edison one of Vega punk’s Satellites competes with the Seraphim against Straw Hat Pirates to collect battle data.
There are only four Seraphim in the series. However, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see more. They resemble the Warlords from the past and many famous characters have held this title. Although they share similar appearances, however, the Seraphim appear like older versions — and in a sense, they are. They’re only just recently developed and do not have much combat experience. This is the reason Edison opposes the Straw Hat Pirates and S-Shark. This also means that the Seraphim aren’t yet getting to their peak.

RELATED: One Piece: Did Crocodile Deserve to be the title of Warlord? What Are the Seraphim Made of? The reason that the Seraphim appear like former Warlords is that they are themselves. To be precise, they are replicas of Warlords who were once in power similar to Stussy is a clone of Miss Buckingham Stussy. The Seraphim, however, are not clones of their former self as the Warlords. Vegapunk also added other powerful components to their system which increased their fighting power. The Seraphim are clones of the Warlords. They also possess the Lineage Factor for the Lunarian Alber. Also known as the King of Beast Pirates, This is what gives the Seraphim their white hair, dark complexion with black wings, and a burning flame in their backs. The Seraphim are also experiencing an acceleration in their growth that makes them appear like children despite only being a few months old. Their blood isn’t like the usual red blood that is found in other species. The Seraphim also possess the Devil Fruit power of Paramecia Devil Fruits in their Green Blood. Furthermore, they possess the same technology as the Pacifistas. They are also able to fire laser beams whenever they want. Dr. Vegapunk considers them the most powerful form of humanity due to their many components. It is also because the Seraphim are composed of many different elements, making it expensive and time-consuming to create and maintain their existence. And thus, there are only a limited number of Seraphim.RELATED: One piece would have been very different if Shanks allowed Luffy to join his crewSeraphim have a variety of powers. It’s not just that the creation of the Seraphim is difficult, but also because they are the highest form of humankind. Since each is a unique combination of capabilities as well as combat abilities exceptional. Lunarian genetics gives the most basic of these capabilities, the body. Lunarians are well-known for their endurance. King’s battle against Zoro in the “Wano Country Arc” is a good illustration. The Seraphim, who have Alber’s bloodline can be said to be capable of being invincible for short durations. As long as their flames are lit they are immune to injuries. The Seraphim’s resemblance to the Warlords is also not just to show. Each Seraphim is equipped with the same ability to fight as the original Warlord. For instance, S-Shark, which is a clone of Jimbei as well as proficient in the use of Fish-Man Karate. S-Snake, which is a clone of Jimbei, is just as clever as Boa Hancock in using her looks to charm her opponents. Because they are more advanced versions of Pacifista and the Seraphim also have complete mastery using laser beams, which they will only employ against their foes.
The Green Blood is finally here. The Green Blood is yet another invention of Vegapunk. It is a source of the Lineage Factor from Paramecia Devil Fruit users. This grants the Seraphim certain Devil Fruit Powers, without eating said Devil Fruit. The Seraphim who are modeled on famous Devil Fruit users — S-Bear and S’Snake are equipped with the same Devil Fruit powers as the original. However, those lacking one — S-Shark and S’Hawk are granted Devil Fruit powers compatible with their fighting abilities. S-Shark has Senor Pink’s Swimming-Swim Food while S-Hawk has Mr. 1’s Dice-Dice fruit.
