Jeremy Adams, the writer of the ongoing series The Flash as well as DC’s animated Super Sons movie teases that the sidekicks and speedster will meet at the border.
Jeremy Adams, Flash writer has suggested that the possibility of a Super Sons crossover could be planned for the series.
On Twitter, the creator asked fans “Who wants to see an image from The Flash#797?” continuing in another tweet, “It’s one of the first photos [artist Serg Acuna] emailed to me.” Written by Adams who was drawn by Acuna and released in April 2023. Flash #797 is set to be a “super-speed adventure” that occurs when Kid Flash/Wallace West babysits Jai and Irey West, the children of Flash Wally West. Adams shared artwork by Robin Damian Wayne and Superboy Jon Kent in a deleted tweet. However, it is still available on Instagram as of the moment of the writing. This means that these two little Super Sons will be appearing in the Flash issue.

The Super Sons Star in an Animated DC Movie
Adams is familiar with the Super Sons. The initial Super Sons comic book series was released in the year 2017. Adams wrote the animated film Batman and Superman: Battle of the Super Sons which came out in 2022. The film follows Superman/Clark Kent’s son Jon as he teams up with Batman/Bruce Wayne’s Damian to stop Starro, the Conqueror who is threatening to take over Earth.
It’s not clear what Super Sons version will appear in Flash #797. The issue solicitation states “It’s an extremely fast-paced adventure of babysitting as Flash watches Jai, Irey, and some new acquaintances from across time and space!” When a sleepover gets out of hand, Ace has to bring back the twins, Maxine, and a handful of new acquaintances from across space and time!” There are many possibilities for who the Super Sons might be. It could be Jon or Damian’s younger versions from the comic DC Universe or the same versions that Adams used in Battle of the Super Sons.

DC Reboots the Flash’s Solo Series
Adams already demonstrated a willingness and ability to travel across time and the Multiverse in his work in Flash. His first arc took Wally West on a Quantum Leap-like trip through the bodies and speeders. When he finally landed as the hero of the Super Friends cartoon world the comic book world, he was able to continue his work on em>The Flash/em>. Adams has run out of time for a Flash/ Super Sons crossover and Super Sons crossover, as Flash issue #800 is his last issue. The Flash will be relaunched in Sep. 2023, with the writer Simon Spurrier and artist Mike Deodato working as the title’s main creative team.

Along with Adams and Acuna, The Flash #797 features main and variant cover art from Taurin Clarke, as well as variant covers created by Francis Manapul, Daniele Di Nicuolo, and Yasmin Flores Montanez. The issue will be available for sale on April 18th at DC Comics.
