David Harbour, Stranger Things star confirms casually that filming will commence this summer for the fifth and last season.
Stranger Things star David Harbour has promised that the fifth and final season, which will be filmed this summer, will begin.

Harbour confirmed the news at Middle East Film & Comic Con. He stated, “We’re going into Season 5m.” I have two more months to train. The final season of the series will begin in June. Harbour also gave fans a preview of Detective Jim Hopper’s character in the fifth season. He added that he did a lot of training for Season 4. “He [Hopper] was in an extremely specific position, that Russian prison. It was about making him an entirely different person and sorting out a part of himself mentally, physically, and emotionally. Now he is back in America, where cheeseburgers are readily available. He will be well-fed.

Harbour played Jim Hopper from Stranger Things premiered in 2016 and has remained with the show through its entirety with the rest of its original ensemble cast. Harbor, in 2022, explained how he would manage the intense shooting schedule between the final series of Stranger Things and Marvel Studios Thunderbolts. This will see Harbour reprise his role as Red Guardian within the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Harbour noted that it was going to be insane. “It’s going be a back and forth with me. They’ll have to kind of share me. So it is sort of like: I don’t know how they’re doing it, but it’s a week-on, week-off, two weeks on, two weeks off, and something like that, where I would go back, and forth.”

Stranger Things Season 5 on the Horizon
Harbour confirmed Season 5’s production schedule. But, Finn Wolfhard seems to have confirmed February’s release window. Wolfhard stated in an interview that “I will turn 22 by the time [ Stranger ThingsSeason 5] is out.” He also said that he started working on the show when he was 12. It is unbelievable. This would place the fifth season in 2025.

This happened just one month after Wolfhard shared his thoughts about the future of the series. He stated that Stranger Things could not go on for longer than five seasons. “I believe that the Duffer brothers created a perfect end in five. We didn’t know if we would do two. So we are happy people are still around and want it to happen.
A slew of speculation has been generated about possible spinoff properties after the news that Stranger Things Season 5 is over. The Stranger Things writers had previously dismissed a claim that an Eleven-centric spinoff series would be coming, simply calling the report “[n]ot false.”
Netflix has four seasons of Stranger Things, which are currently streaming.
