Cartoon Network will air the long-rumored anime crossover of One Piece Dragon Ball Z, Dragon Ball Z, and Toriko on the Adult Swim Toonami block.
The 2013 Toriko One Piece Dragon Ball Z Super Crossover Special will air in North America, with an English dub.

An announcement by Toei Animation’s English account, the famed crossover special featuring the stars One Piece, Dragon Ball Z, and Toriko was made. It will air on Cartoon Network’s Adult Swim Toonami block. The special was originally broadcast in Japan by Fuji TV on April 7, 2013. While the special is a part of the One Piece anime series as Episode 590 – “The Mightiest Collaboration of History vs. Gluttonous. The Sea,” international viewers could not access the crossover. It’s not an official English home media release for One Piece and isn’t available on English-based streaming channels like Crunchyroll. Toriko will air on Toonami’s Saturday, March 4th.
Excitement for Crossover Episode Release
Jason DeMarco was the co-creator of Toonami and is currently Senior Vice President of Anime & Action, at Warner, Bros. Discovery tweeted his excitement about the news. DeMarco tweeted “We still can move.” Adult Swim/Toonami, like many other streaming services operating under Warner Bros. Discovery, was the victim of the content purge which famously affected HBO Max. It happened when the higher-ups challenged the name and the future stream service.

The Animation lost 13 episodes. The Shenmueanime co-produced Adult Swim and Crunchyroll, before Sony acquired them in 2021. Despite these setbacks, Toonami continues its anime programming, including popular series like My Hero Academia (one hour), and Housing Complex C (one hour). This was before Sony acquired them in 2021.
One Piece is now available on streaming sites like Netflix and Crunchyroll. A live One PieceTV program is currently being developed by Netflix. A release window has been set for sometime in 2023.
