Okunen Anime 2.0

to be honest i have not seen many of the anime she has voiced but the few i did i absolutely loved! she rocks! she also does theme songs performances, video game voice overs, and drama cd's and so on.

I've seen all but Neo Ranga, and it's nearing the top of my "to see" list.

Although I realize some young male characters can be played off with a female voice, I really don't like some of them that are. I didn't like Yugi's voice sounding so effeminate. (I felt the same way about Yuki from Fruits Basket.) I could TELL that they were women. I can also tell with the American voice actor who does Naruto's voice. I wish I had never seen her picture. She's one of those that should have remained a mysterious voice behind the character. >.<

But when I hear them, I can hear the voice of a woman. I'm not sure why, but they don't sound young or prepubescent like they are supposed to. They sound like a female voicing a male part.

i see your point. never really watched yugi so i cant say much for that. and about the naruto chic ... hell yes ... i wish i had never googled her . but i respectfully disagree about Yuki. Yuki in the dubbed Fruits basket annoys me all to hell. He sounds like a grown man trying sound like he is 13 again and the faked softeness in his voice sounds overly forced and makes me grit my teeth. just about everyone else in the dubbed anime is actually pretty good. (yes i did say that ... shock!)

LH and I will prob be at odds on this forever . oh well. cant agree on everything though, right?
